The Role

We are currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Specialist for one of our communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the meticulous maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, common areas, parking facilities, and other community structures.
  • Conduct daily trash removal from office spaces and community perimeters, as well as from trash chutes to compactors.
  • Prepare make-ready units, including the removal of trash from vacant apartments prior to readiness.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and/or execute assigned maintenance tasks promptly.
  • Clean available apartments and/or model units.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, carpentry, and electrical issues, including HVAC systems.
  • Report maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Property Manager.
  • Maintain the aesthetic appeal of the community.
  • Support office personnel with various tasks as needed.
  • Assist with emergency situations such as hazardous weather, fires, floods, etc.
  • Ensure overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance facilities.
  • Report directly to the Property Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience is preferred.
  • Skills in light carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.
  • Basic computer skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to shared responsibility.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and able to provide documentation upon hire or submit a request for a medical or religious accommodation.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position; availability for after-hours and weekend work may be required, including a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors.
  • Physical demands will include mobility to effectively fulfill job requirements.
