Packing Specialist Job Description

Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Packing opportunity. As a Packing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quantity and labeling is correct.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify equipment setup prior to the start of a production run, operate, and shut down manufacturing equipment.
  • Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements while meeting productivity standards.
  • Expand raw materials to specification.
  • Maintain proper work logs and complete required reports as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of barcoding.
  • Ability to use simple math and basic hand-held measuring tools.
