Job Summary:

As a Shift Manager at Taco Bell, you will be responsible for ensuring 100% customer satisfaction by improving customer service and overall restaurant performance. You will focus on the 3 C's: Customers, Coaching, and Controllable. As a leader in the restaurant, you will train and direct staff, maintain professionalism at all times, and ensure that customer service is timely and accurate. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the restaurant is clean and that product is of a high quality. Additionally, you will assist the RGM in recruiting, interviewing, and providing input to hiring decisions. You will also provide input on Team Members' performance appraisals, discipline actions, developmental needs, and motivational techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the activities of Team Members
Ensure adequate positioning of staff to deliver customer service
Assign daily tasks or duties to each staff person
Communicate duties or tasks assigned to all staff
Open and close the restaurant, including turning on lights, ovens, and fryers
Check out various machines and equipment to ensure they are in working order
Set up cash drawers, count and audit safe monies
Ensure adequate food, paper, and cooking supplies
Review stock items and learn procedures for amounts of food, paper, and cooking supplies needed
Assist with stocking and storing products delivered
Ensure clean interior and exterior of restaurant
Clean parking lot, landscape, and dining area
Maintain production/storage areas clean and free of health and safety violations
Perform shift change duties, including counting cash and calculating register totals

Requirements:

Experience in Quick Service Restaurants or cafeteria or a proven track record of success in the quick-service industry. Supervisory experience preferred
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to provide customer service and satisfy customer needs and complaints
Ability to carry out duties assigned by Restaurant General Manager, and work under limited supervision
Knowledge and ability to operate all restaurant equipment
