Position Title: Building Engineer – Union - Day Shift

Role Overview:

The Building Engineer is responsible for the management, repair, and upkeep of mechanical and electrical systems within the facility. This role involves hands-on work with various building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and control systems. The engineer will respond to service requests and address emergency situations promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including air handling units, pumps, and motors.
  • Install and maintain electrical circuits and plumbing fixtures.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems.
  • Perform minor carpentry and electrical tasks as needed.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of emergency generators and associated systems.
  • Document inspections and maintenance activities, providing reports to management.
  • Order necessary materials for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing duties.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in building systems operations, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Proven skills in repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to safely secure systems for maintenance work.
  • Basic carpentry skills and familiarity with building systems.
  • Valid driver's license for operating company vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices in maintenance operations.
  • Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

Work Schedule: Day Shift, Monday to Friday
