Traveling Commissioning Field Engineer

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Field Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing commissioning and/or QA/QC testing oversight of mechanical equipment, managing commissioning and testing projects, leading projects, writing proposals, test scripts, and reports, mentoring and training other commissioning team members, coordinating invoicing with the accounting department, and attending conferences and networking events periodically.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform commissioning and/or QA/QC testing oversight of mechanical equipment.
- Manage commissioning and testing projects, including client, internal team, and project financials.
- Lead projects and write proposals, test scripts, and reports.
- Mentor and train other commissioning team members.
- Coordinate invoicing with the accounting department.
- Attend conferences and networking events periodically.
- BS Engineering (or similar qualification).
- Mid-level commissioning engineer (7+ years of experience).
- Must be willing to travel across the U.S. for extended periods of time to support project construction schedules and be willing to work various hours (days, night, and weekends).
- Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment testing is a must.
- EIT/PE/CPMP a plus.
- Military background in mechanical systems operation and repair a plus.
- Hardworking and well-motivated engineer with the desire to learn and solve problems.
- Ability to work in office and client sites (new construction and existing facilities) with a driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a 5-year background check (no felonies, no financial frauds) and be willing to take (and pass) drug screening when required by the client.
- Proficient technical writing skills (proposals, test scripts, and reports) and communication skills.
