Job Overview:
Cabin Crew Members serve as the welcoming face of Mesa Airlines. They are expected to be dependable and timely, committed to delivering outstanding customer service consistently. This role necessitates maintaining a friendly, approachable demeanor while providing exceptional service. A successful Cabin Crew Member must possess comprehensive knowledge of all safety protocols, service expectations, and company regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure constant vigilance towards our passengers, guaranteeing a safe and dependable onboard experience.
2. Welcome passengers, oversee carry-on luggage, and guide them to their designated seats.
3. Maintain a positive, respectful, and understanding attitude during difficult situations and passenger disputes.
4. Uphold physical health and professional appearance standards.

5. Retain a thorough understanding of all emergency protocols and the capability to operate all emergency equipment on board the aircraft.

6. Clearly explain the use of safety equipment to passengers.
7. Serve refreshments, snacks, and meals as required.
8. Assist passengers with storing carry-on items in overhead or under-seat compartments.
9. Inform passengers about Federal Aviation Regulations.

10. Execute duties necessary to assist with inflight medical emergencies and passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, visually or hearing impaired individuals, language barriers, elderly passengers, and those with physical challenges.

11. Adhere to policies outlined in the Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook, Cabin Crew Manual, and Code Share Partner standards.

Compensation:


The starting pay for Cabin Crew Members is $18.30 per flight hour, increasing to $19.84 after six months and $21.78 after one year, with annual raises thereafter.

Flight hours will be discussed during the information session if you progress in the application process. The average earnings for a Cabin Crew Member in the first year of employment are approximately $22,000.

Additional Compensation Opportunities:
Crew members have various avenues to earn extra monthly income, including a crash-pad assistance program.

Moreover, when Cabin Crew Members choose not to stay in company-provided hotel accommodations, Mesa Airlines will cover a portion of the hotel expenses for the Cabin Crew Member.

A Cabin Crew Member can earn an additional $500 monthly ($6,000 annually) through other compensation opportunities.

Bases:
The location for this position is determined by the company's operational requirements and seniority.

Current bases include DFW (Dallas, TX), IAD (Washington, D.C.), IAH (Houston, TX), PHX (Phoenix, AZ), SDF (Louisville, KY). New hires will be assigned to one of these bases during training.

Requirements:
1. At least 18 years old.

A high school diploma or GED is required; college credits OR a minimum of two years of customer service experience is preferred.

2. Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and dependability.
3. Read, write, and speak English fluently.

4. Upon completion of training, willing to be assigned to any of Mesa Airlines crew bases (may involve relocation or commuting) based on the company's operational needs.

5. Willing and able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

6. Height between 4'11'' and 6' without shoes - must be able to reach in overhead bins and galley compartments to retrieve emergency equipment.

7. Ability to perform all safety-related procedures, including operating aircraft doors, lifting emergency window exits (approx. 40 lbs.), assisting with carry-on baggage stowage, and operating meal & beverage carts.
8. Present a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times.

9. Ability to sit in the flight attendant jumpseat without modification; walk comfortably down the aisle facing forward, and fit quickly through the overwing exits.

10. Minimum 20/40 vision, corrected or uncorrected.
11. Authorized to work in the United States.
12. Possess and maintain a valid passport.

13. Have the legal ability to travel unrestricted to/from all countries served by Mesa Airlines, including Canada, Mexico, Bahamas & Cuba.

14. Applicants must have the authorization for multiple entries into the United States at will.
15. Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprinting and criminal history.

16. Pass a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug, alcohol, and random screening throughout employment, which includes screening for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamine.

Please note that the DOT prohibits medical marijuana for safety-sensitive employees.
