Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections
  • Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of infection rates and trends
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address infection control issues
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices
  • Investigate and report outbreaks of infectious diseases
  • Develop and maintain infection control logs and reports
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy department to ensure safe and effective use of antibiotics
  • Review and analyze data on antibiotic usage and resistance patterns
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in California
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster shots
  • Knowledge of long-term care patient needs
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Attended Antibiotic Stewardship Certification or Infection Control Training Program
  • RN or LVN from an accredited school or have a Professional training in nursing, Medical technology, Microbiology, epidemiology, or another related field
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
