As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and preventing dental disease in our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough dental prophylaxis and provide oral cancer screening and radiographic studies.
  • Prepare patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping them.
  • Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
  • Select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patients' oral health.
  • Complete dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.
  • Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening, feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession, and exposing and developing radiographic studies.
  • Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
Requirements
  • Active registered dental hygienist license in CA.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health care practice.
