Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Solution Development: Develop and implement technical solutions to address customer requirements, including designing and preparing technical reports and related documentation.
  • Project Management: Manage and/or perform implementation for approved technical solutions, including developing project definitions and engineering estimates to include cost estimates and cost benefit analysis.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to determine customer needs and ensure that implemented solutions meet those needs.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise, respond to tasking's, and build UNIX / Linux servers, ensuring security requirements are met, testing servers/systems/software/hardware, and integrating/installing them into the production environment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare briefings and prepare updates on project/task status, as well as ensure all necessary documentation to operate and maintain the equipment and/or software is provided to the Operations Division team members.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years of relevant work or military experience accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.x / 8.x, VMware VSphere 6.x and higher, Red Hat Satellite 6.7 and higher, Automation/Configuration Management for Linux (Puppet/Ansible), Containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and Container Orchestration (Tanzu/OpenShift), vRealize Automation and vRealize Operations, System integration (hardware, software, network, and database), Multi-hardware system operation, performance, and system effectiveness, SAN hardware layout and configuration, system security, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and system engineering tools, Visio.
  • Certifications: DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (or higher) is required (e.g., Security + CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP), ITIL Foundations, Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
