Registered Nurse RN Float Pool Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse RN Float Pool to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Display strong clinical judgment and expert nursing skills while following company policies and procedures.
- Report critical information or changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness, including pain assessment and reassessment.
- Document patient information effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care and develop an effective plan of care.
- Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program is required.
- BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing is preferred.
- Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
