Lead Cosmetologist, Hair Color Bar

The Lead Cosmetologist at Madison Reed's Hair Color Bar plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional client experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. This position is essential for enhancing both team performance and the overall client journey by addressing the unique and varied needs of each individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of color services, including but not limited to: all-over color, root treatments, highlights, toning glazes, and blowouts.
  • Conduct consultations and recommend retail products while performing additional services as required.
  • Engage with clients to ensure a memorable and personalized experience, fostering ongoing relationships with the Hair Color Bar.
  • Lead and mentor the team, sometimes in the absence of management, by valuing team input and enhancing the client experience.
  • Coach team members to cultivate a positive culture, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Assist with front-end operations while adhering to company policies, including online order pickups and retail assistance.
  • Drive additional revenue by promoting services, memberships, and hair care products.
  • Utilize Madison Reed systems to effectively manage operations and optimize sales.
  • Exhibit strong sales and service skills in all client interactions.
  • Consistently achieve and surpass sales targets.
  • Maintain a collaborative and supportive attitude towards colleagues.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Cosmetology/Hairdressing license as per state regulations.
  • A minimum of 1 year in operational management, with at least 2 years in a service-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to multitask in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and POS (Point of Sale) operations is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Team members in this role will frequently stand or walk for extended periods, bend, twist, and use their hands and arms for various tasks. The ability to lift and move items up to 20 pounds may be required.
