Position Overview

Shift Lead, Hair Color Bar

The Shift Lead at Madison Reed's Hair Color Bar plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional client experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. This position is crucial for enhancing both team performance and client satisfaction by addressing the distinct and varied needs of each individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of color services, including but not limited to: all-over color, root treatments, highlights, toning glazes, and blowouts.
  • Conduct consultations and recommend retail products to clients, ensuring they receive personalized care.
  • Engage with clients to create a memorable and enjoyable experience, fostering ongoing relationships with the Hair Color Bar.
  • Lead and mentor the team in the absence of management, encouraging collaboration and valuing team input to enhance client experiences.
  • Coach team members to cultivate a positive workplace culture, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Assist with front-end operations, adhering to company procedures, including managing online orders and retail transactions.
  • Drive additional revenue by promoting services, memberships, and hair care products.
  • Utilize Madison Reed systems to effectively manage operations and boost sales.
  • Exhibit strong sales and service skills in all client interactions.
  • Consistently achieve and surpass sales targets.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative demeanor with colleagues.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Cosmetology/Hairdressing license as per state regulations.
  • Minimum of 1 year in operational management, with at least 2 years in a service-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in multitasking within a dynamic setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and POS technology is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Team members must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, twist, and perform various physical tasks, including lifting up to 20 pounds.
