Job Summary:

The Assistant General Manager - Operations Lead is a key member of the Rigsby's Smoked Burgers and Wings management team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store. This exempt position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for supervising non-management associates, assigning work responsibilities, and ensuring store level operation performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise the day-to-day activities of hourly managers and non-management associates, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities.
  • Work Scheduling and Assignments: Assign work responsibilities, prepare schedules, and ensure that all shifts are covered to meet the needs of the store.
  • Inventory Management: Prepare daily orders, ensure units are stocked with appropriate levels of product, and coach hourly managers on inventory procedures.
  • Training and Development: Conduct and coordinate on-the-job training for associates, ensuring they receive basic skills training to perform their jobs.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve routine questions and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher levels of management.
  • Associate Development: Provide recommendations for hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other status change of associates within the store.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Requires up to 1 year of job-related experience in low volume and/or multi-unit Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations or other related management experience.
  • Skills: Demonstrates team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills, as well as the ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of Host policies and product, service, quality, equipment, and operations standards.
  • Communication: Requires the ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with individuals.
