Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to aseptic techniques and protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain patient safety and well-being throughout the surgical process.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Work Environment

This is a 12-hour day shift position, with an average of 1 night/week and 1 weekend in a 6-week schedule. You will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
