The Culinary Service Associate efficiently prepares and serves a variety of food items in accordance with designated work instructions and menus within a correctional environment.
This role also involves utilizing various food preparation tools and equipment in the cooking process.Our ideal Culinary Service Associate possesses the following qualities:

Responsibilities include preparing and assisting team members in the timely preparation of quality meals according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions.
The responsibilities of the Culinary Service Associate encompass, but are not limited to, maintaining cleanliness while working, ensuring a tidy and food-safe workstation, managing waste disposal, sweeping, mopping, and any other tasks assigned within the facility.
Serve meals during scheduled dining times in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Utilize kitchen tools and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food following established recipes. Employ appropriate utensils to serve portioned meals and cater to clients' nutritional requirements. Adhere to all food safety regulations regarding sanitation, food handling, and storage. Maintain a clean work environment, which includes cleaning refrigerators/freezers, cooking equipment, and serving utensils. Function effectively in a fast-paced setting, performing routine kitchen tasks while remaining organized and clean. Keep up with waste management and ensure kitchen floors are free from excess food and debris. This position entails physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods. Be prepared to remain on your feet for the majority of the scheduled shift. Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent, and candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred: Previous experience in institutional food service or restaurant settings is advantageous.
