Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist at Highmark Health, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong foundation in respiratory therapy and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.

• Complete documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness, including charting, billing, and patient/family education.

• Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.

• Provide instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.

• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or TPP.

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).

• BLS upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT, or Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT).

• 1 year experience in a hospital setting.
