Role Summary:
We are collaborating with a leading manufacturing company to find a skilled Interim Accounting Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting functions temporarily. The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in month-end closing processes, general accounting practices, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and cash management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
2. Manage general accounting duties, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
3. Conduct post-close reconciliations to confirm the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies.
4. Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor payments and customer invoicing.
5. Support cash management activities, including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with regulations.
7. Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
8. Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.
9. Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.
10. Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
2. Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
3. Familiarity with public companies and SOX compliance is advantageous.
4. Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
7. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
8. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
9. Experience in managing and developing a team is a plus.
