Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for utilizing and electroencephalograph to record electrical impulses from the brain.
  • Apply electrodes to predetermined positions on patient's scalp.
  • Take and verify recordings.
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate and adjust specialized equipment.
  • Monitor, transcribe physician order and perform other support duties to include but not limited to paging physicians.
  • Obtain insurance pre-certification.
  • Arrange for home and medical care and coordinate desk activities.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One to three (1-3) year of previous EEG experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program, with some college level course work.
  • Eligible for or currently registered by ABRET.
  • Registered EEG Tech.
  • One (1) year experience in specialty.
