Position Overview:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Nursing Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients. This position is centered around enhancing the patient experience and supporting their journey towards recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients and their families throughout the admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
- Encourage patients to achieve their highest level of independence in daily activities, promoting the hospital's rehabilitation philosophy.
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of daily responsibilities.
- Monitor and communicate pertinent information regarding patient status, care plans, and family concerns to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
- Proactively engage in training and development opportunities to foster personal and professional growth.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the healthcare facility.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with relevant experience or training in healthcare. Previous experience as a nursing assistant is preferred. Additionally, candidates should have current registration as a State Tested Nursing Assistant in Ohio and certification in Healthcare Provider CPR from the American Heart Association is also preferred.
