AV Project Coordinator

Position Overview
The AV Project Coordinator oversees all aspects of audio-visual initiatives from the initial planning phase through to project completion. This role involves managing proposals, timelines, installations, and final evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with existing clients and the sales department to facilitate and oversee AV installations.
- Develop and present project proposals for potential audio-visual endeavors.
- Organize and schedule the AV installation team, including MEC personnel and/or subcontractors.
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Possess knowledge of AV installations, including projectors, screens, speakers, and other related equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to accurately read and interpret AV and construction schematics.
- Familiarity with low-voltage cabling installation.
- Capable of executing minor DSP/control system modifications and uploads.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex AV systems.
- Familiarity with systems such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, Clearone, BSS, Cisco, etc.
- Provide regular project updates to senior management.
- Maintain and update AV workflow documents for the creation of post-project as-built documentation.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills and a strong desire to advance within the commercial AV sector.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in audiovisual or a related field.
- CTS Certification (CTS-I preferred).
- Experience with D-Tool software is advantageous.
- Basic networking knowledge is beneficial.
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification.
- Ability to work from ladders or staging.
- Must be capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Valid driver's license required.
