Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at Davis Development, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical integrity of our communities. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This involves performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and ensuring compliance with pertinent laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and perform minor or routine preventative maintenance or repair on all units and equipment.
- Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage to apartments as circumstances warrant.
- Inspect and coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services of apartments after move-out.
- Use expert knowledge to abide by pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials.
- Create and assist with work orders to ensure timely completion.
- Schedule vendors and contractors for curb appeal.
- Ensure all amenities and grounds are finished and ready for review.
- Walk move-outs to assess damages/issues and report results to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Two or more years of experience in a related field.
- EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to use good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Works as part of a team, as well as completes assignments independently.
- Ability to operate a computer, phone system, and general office equipment.
- Must be able to take calls for emergency requests.
- Must have a valid driver's license and daily transportation for getting supplies and other duties.
- May need to drive a golf cart.
