We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our agile-factory team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving project efficiency and innovation, leading a team of exceptional engineers, and turning strategic plans into reality.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze production and facilities operations/issues, perform necessary engineering design and layout, prepare cost estimates, and make recommendations to meet specific project needs.
- Prepare Capital Asset Requests for new or modified packaging, process, or facility equipment and systems.
- Investigate, evaluate, and select equipment and system components necessary to meet project requirements.
- Prepare work specifications and negotiate contracts for work to be performed by outside contractors. Coordinate/direct work of outside contractors to insure quality completion of project and adherence to all applicable codes, regulations, and policies.
- Coordinate the installation and start-up of new equipment with operations, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide engineering support to operations teams. Attend team meetings to facilitate communications, problem solving, and follow-up.
- Remain current with latest innovations in equipment and components through industry literature, demonstrations, exhibitions, and vendor contact.
- Facilitate continuous improvement by evaluation of existing operations in light of new technology, team needs, and cost/benefit opportunities.
- B.S. Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical). 1-3 years previous experience in High Speed Packaging Equipment OR Chemical Batch Processing Operations in Consumer Products.
- Working Knowledge of CAD, Microsoft Office, Project Management Software.
- Working Knowledge of Motor Controls, Sensors, Basic Electrical Power Distribution, and PLC Capabilities.
- Excellent Organizational and Follow-up Skills.
- Ability to Manage Multiple Project Assignments Concurrently.
- Project Management Skills including Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting, Purchasing, Design and Layout, and Selection/Supervision of Contractors.
- Good Communication and Presentation Skills.
- Able to Work Effectively in Team Environment. Committed to Continuous Learning.
We offer a competitive salary range of $66,000.00-$102,000.00, as well as a range of benefits including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; paid time off for vacation, sick, and Company recognized holidays; a 401(K) plan; generous paid parental leave; adoption and fertility support; tuition reimbursement; product discounts; and much more.
