About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Service Technician to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our Nutrition Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food and nutritional services to our patients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain shift accountability for the provision of Nutrition Services in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Monitor the delivery of high-quality food and nutritional services, ensuring compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Teach and maintain correct sanitation and personal hygiene procedures throughout assigned areas.
  • Complete assigned quality assurance monitors and apply reasonable judgment to interpret hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Oversee day-end cash out and daily deposits, making cash register program changes as needed.
  • Ensure proper preparation and service of meals, as well as proper storage of food items.
  • Responsible for the training of new staff and may lead new hire department orientation or perform other technical tasks within the designated area of responsibility.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of relevant food service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting or related field.
  • CRT-ServSafe Manager - NRA National Restaurant Association certification within 90 days.
  • CRT-ServSafe Allergen - NRA National Restaurant Association certification within 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months of relevant experience in leadership.
  • Associate's Degree in Hospitality or Nutrition.
