Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fabricator to join our team at Applied Industrial Technologies. As a Pipe Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating pipe spools to custom lengths and semi-finished goods, obtaining required materials from stock, and maintaining inventory records. You will also operate machinery such as lathes, mills, and forklifts, and perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate pipe spools to custom lengths and semi-finished goods
• Obtain required materials from stock to fabricate pipe spools or parts
• Maintain list of materials to be removed from inventory records
• Select, measure, and cut materials to minimize product waste
• Operate machinery such as lathes, mills, Conrac, flare presses, and forklifts

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time.
• Must have a clean background and be able to pass both a pre-employment and random drug test(s).
• Must be able to operate large warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
• Must be able to work off hours, weekends, and overtime on a short notice basis based on business needs.
• Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and moving heavy and awkward products.
• Ability to work in abnormal operating conditions, including heat, cold, and clean room environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associates Degree or Technical Degree/Certification preferred
• 1-3 years of previous pump repair experience desired; experience with hydraulics helpful but not required
• Knowledge of required equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
• Clean driving record
• Military experience a plus, especially as a Navy mechanic aboard a ship
