We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing proficient patient care and support to surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide perioperative patient care and support to surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
- Verify the functioning and availability of supplies, instruments, and equipment prior to surgical procedures.
- Ensure asepsis and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient case flow.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
- Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in General Surgery, with Level I or II Trauma Hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
