We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will provide proficient patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation. Your expertise will be utilized as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation.
- Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
- Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
- Use knowledge and expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
- Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- 2+ years of General Surgery experience required. Level I or II Trauma Hospital experience preferred.
