Clinical Psychologist

The Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) is responsible for providing high-quality, culturally competent behavioral health services to clients of Fall River Health Services Behavioral Health Clinic Department. This includes completing neuropsychological and psychological diagnostic interviewing, psychological testing, consultation, report writing, and counseling services (family, individual, and group therapies).
Duties and Responsibilities:- Client-Centered Care: Provide a patient-centered and trauma-informed welcome, respect, and caring, to develop trusting relationships with individuals.
- Therapeutic Services: Utilize individual therapy and group therapy in patients across the lifespan, providing empirically-validated counseling interventions for individuals, families, and groups.
- Risk Assessment: Assess clients' risk, considering their mental health and social needs when performing interventions.
- Collaborative Practice: Formulate and create personalized interventions, treatments, and management of clients in coordination with other behavioral health providers.
- Neuropsychology Experience: Experience in neuropsychology and/or psychoeducational assessment.
- Differential Diagnosis: Experience in differential diagnosis of neurodevelopment disorders.
- Collaboration: Collaboration with other departments, including those involved in autism evaluations.
- Assessment Administration: Administration and interpretation of common neuropsychological assessments.
- Communication: Collaboration with patients, parents, teachers, therapists/interventions, and medical professionals via written and verbal communication.
- Confidentiality: Maintaining confidentiality of clients' treatment and records in accordance with HIPAA.
- Additional Skills: Experience in bio-feedback a plus, demonstrated skill in clinical interviewing, group therapy, group management, individual therapy, and family counseling, highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated skills in consultation and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Education: A Doctoral degree in psychology required (PHD or PsyD).
- Licensure and Certification: Current SD Licensure and Board Certification.
- Experience: Experience in pediatric, adult, and geriatric neuropsychological assessment is preferred.
- Test Administration: Highly developed ability in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests, specifically objective, projective, and neurological test batteries.
- Therapy Experience: Experience with PTSD-related therapies such as CBT, Exposure therapy, and EMDR.
- Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrated skill in clinical interviewing, group therapy, group management, individual therapy, and family counseling, highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated skills in consultation and the ability to work as part of a team.
