Diesel Fleet Technician and Road Rescue Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This is a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet operations.
Job OverviewThis position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, documenting repairs, and providing road rescue services when needed.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years with refrigeration certification. They should possess excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and efficiency
- Document repairs and maintain accurate records
- Provide road rescue services when needed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years with refrigeration certification
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with EPA and OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
