Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy interventions to patients in their homes, following established treatment plans and protocols.
  • Work closely with supervising therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient goals, needs, and progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and communicate with supervising therapists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in physical therapy and meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in physical therapy assistance preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, preferably in home health care.
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices, including modalities, exercise programs, and patient education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
