The responsibilities of the House Attendant during the night include ensuring cleanliness and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the hotel's public spaces. Duties may encompass (as determined by hotel operations): thorough cleaning of designated areas, setting up and managing complimentary lobby services such as coffee stations and evening concierge events, cleaning and preparing meeting rooms, delivering requested items to guest rooms from the front desk, and operating the shuttle van when necessary (specific to the property). This position primarily operates during evening and overnight hours.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively.
  • Quick and accurate evaluation and selection among alternative actions.
  • Capability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company standards, which may vary based on hotel needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag.
  • Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Provide turndown service for assigned guest rooms and suites.
  • Refresh and clean guest rooms as required.
  • Restock the necessary supplies for guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for housekeeping carts.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms.
  • Ensure all hallways, public areas, and storage closets are clean, organized, and vacuumed.
  • Report any maintenance issues immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
  • Handle lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Follow all guidelines set forth by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
