Position Summary

The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine cleaning tasks in designated areas, adhering to a systematic cleaning protocol and ensuring proper bed remaking after discharge sanitation.
  • Implements scheduled maintenance for flooring and carpeting.
  • Maintains cleanliness of fixtures, furnishings, walls, woodwork, floors, stairwells, interior windows, elevators, and equipment exteriors.
  • Manages waste disposal, including emptying trash, sanitizing containers, and operating compactors as needed.
  • Restocks essential supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Rearranges furniture to its original placement upon completion of cleaning tasks.
  • Executes various floor care methods, including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing, and extraction, utilizing designated equipment.

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as pushing, pulling, reaching, and climbing ladders within the facility. Exposure to water, cleaning solutions, and potentially hazardous waste is inherent to the position. All candidates must complete a physical ability assessment as part of the employment process.

Qualifications

Applicants should be able to follow both verbal and written instructions and complete necessary documentation. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, though on-the-job training will be provided.
