Recreational Therapist

Copper Springs East, a leading provider of behavioral health services, is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activity Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of Changing Peoples Lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote patient engagement and participation in therapeutic activities.
- Collaborate with nursing and program staff to achieve treatment goals and objectives.
- Provide direction and guidance to nursing staff regarding activity-related groups and interventions.
- Participate in treatment teams and contribute to the development of patient-centered care plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreational, Music, or Art Therapy or a related field.
- Licensure or certification as required by state of practice guidelines.
- CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with a focus on chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
