Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Pharmacy Technician to become an integral part of our Customer Service team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient processing of prescription orders and providing exceptional support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Handling incoming calls from customers, taking prescription orders, and addressing inquiries regarding billing, order status, and delivery.
- Directing calls to pharmacists or other pharmacy staff as necessary, while also taking accurate messages.
- Providing product information and updates to assist field sales representatives.
- Processing prescriptions received via fax, mail, and online systems, ensuring accuracy in patient information.
- Preparing the necessary documentation for medication dispensing and processing payments.
- Communicating shipment details and resolving any billing or service-related complaints.
- Maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information.
- Assisting in training new team members and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Proficiency in computer operations.
- Mathematical skills for handling various units of measure.
- A professional demeanor and a proactive approach to work.
