Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at EMI Services, a subsidiary of TechFlow, Inc. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire safety and security systems, including fire alarms and suppression systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install or upgrade fire alarms and suppression systems
  • Test and repair alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform inspections to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and building codes
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and document any issues
  • Provide preliminary cost estimates for materials and services
  • Maintain current licenses and identification to meet government regulations
  • Respond to emergency service calls and perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial facilities
  • NICET II certification
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards (including 70 and 72)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Regular, dependable attendance
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
  • Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
  • Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
  • May spend long hours outside and in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain
