The Heavy Assembly Technician role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated, team-oriented individual who embraces challenges.
As a valued team member at Trinity, your responsibilities will include assembling mechanical units, fabricating parts and component subassemblies, or completing units utilizing hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and various equipment.
You will be tasked with fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting components and mechanisms to ensure they meet specified tolerances and operational requirements. Additionally, you will repair units or products that do not meet standards and prepare materials and surfaces for application of adhesives and insulation.
Your role will involve assembling fabricated components into larger or heavier subassemblies or complete units. You may also set up jigs and fixtures, establish reference points, and position, align, and fit together fabricated parts made of metal or fiberglass according to blueprints and layout specifications.
Furthermore, you may fabricate parts as necessary, operate hand tools, portable tools, hoists, and cranes to transport materials, components, and assemblies, while adhering to all safety protocols and practices.
You may participate in safety committees or initiatives and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical fastening (bolts, nuts, hucks)
- Apply appropriate torque sequences and values (certified)
- Interpret blueprints
- Potential operation of overhead cranes
- Utilize hand tools for bending or forming parts
- May perform tack welding
Qualifications:
- Minimum 0-1 years of relevant experience
