Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to support the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide services to include programmatic/business management, engineering support, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition/administrative support to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers.


The ideal candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following key responsibilities:

  • Logistics Process Optimization: Ensure the efficient and profitable distribution of consumer goods and services by applying scientific and mathematical principles.
  • Logistics Technology Support: Provide effective and efficient support of products, equipment, system manufacturing, or services.
  • Contractual Commitments and Customer Specifications: Review contractual commitments, customer specifications, or related information to determine logistics or support requirements.
  • Logistics Process Design and Analysis: Design and analyze logistics processes and operational solutions used in distributing goods and services, identifying and evaluating the effectiveness of all aspects of methods of distribution to improve operational efficiency.
  • Product Distribution Planning: Develop the most streamlined, efficient method of product distribution possible.
  • Environmental Impact and Energy Efficiency: Assess the environmental impact or energy efficiency of logistics activities, evaluate logistics methods to reduce environmental impact, analyze environmental regulations, and determine requirements to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Inventory Management and Order Processing: Handle inventory, process orders, plan warehouse layouts, and help design product packaging to maximize shipping efficiency.
  • Technical/Logistics Expertise: Provide technical/logistics expertise and guidance in solving logistical and technical problems related to production start-up and on-going production of aircraft modification kits, new production of avionics assemblies, and kit installation activities.
  • Interface with Program Managers and Engineers: Interface with Program Managers and engineers to understand production schedule requirements and technical aspects of products, including wiring harnesses, sheet metal parts, and electronic avionic assemblies.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Fabrications: Responsible for electrical and mechanical fabrications, with primary expertise on the electrical side, including aircraft avionics and aircraft modification kits, with application of significant experience with military fabrication standards and military aircraft installation standards.
  • Manufacturability and Workflow Development: During proof of concept and prototyping phases, focus on engineering feedback for manufacturability, and workflow/instruction development in anticipation of production builds. During production phases, focus on streamlining for manufacturing efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manpower and Manufacturing Resource Planning: Plan out the manpower and manufacturing resources required for kit and avionics production and support proposal development activities by developing cost estimates related to kit builds and aircraft installations.
  • Supervision and Direction: May supervise technician production staff and provide direction and guidance to lower tier technical staff to ensure production schedules and quality of deliverables are maintained.
  • Staff Development and Training: May develop lower tier employee skills, provide job motivation, and identify/manage training.
  • Field Team Planning and Management: Assist in planning and management of field teams for kit installations.
  • Production Requirements and Solutions: Evaluate production requirements and develop acceptable technical solutions that optimize production processes to ensure manufacturing efforts are within budget and are delivered on time.
  • Daily Interface with Multiple Stakeholders: Daily interface with multiple task Program Managers, engineers, purchasing personnel, Quality Assurance personnel, and customers.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business or related scientific/technical discipline.
  • 10+ years' experience.
  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.

Compensation:


HIRING SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $225,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).
