Amentum is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to support the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA.

This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition/administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers.

This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

The Risk Management Specialist will work closely with the client to perform the following:

  • Manage, plan, and coordinate risk and insurance programs of establishment to control risks and losses.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement corrective action against risks that may result in injury, property loss, damage, or legal liability.
  • Analyze and classify risks as to frequency and potential severity and measure financial impact of risk on company.
  • Select appropriate technique to minimize loss, such as avoidance (reducing chance of loss to zero), loss prevention and reduction (reducing frequency and severity of loss), retention (including self-insurance and planned noninsurance), grouping of exposure units (to increase predictability of loss), and transfer (placement of property, activity, or risk with other establishment or insurers).
  • Direct insurance negotiations, select insurance brokers and carriers, and place insurance.
  • Appoint claims and self-insurance administrators and allocate program costs.
  • Prepare operational and risk reports for management analysis.
  • May direct loss prevention and safety programs.
  • May select and direct activities of safety, engineering, and loss prevention experts.
  • May negotiate with unions for employee benefits.
  • Has experience in the review of program risk data, create overall view of program risk based on individual discrete risk elements; coordinate with program team to identify new creative and strategic approaches for managing risks.
  • Has experience in briefing senior staff on risk status using routine, ad hoc, written and oral reports.
  • Has experience in risk treatment by selecting and implementing measures to control and mitigate risks including activities to avoid risks, transfer risks and finance risks; and be able to monitor and review processes to ensure risk and compliance arrangements are in place.
  • Has experience in conducting audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Has experience in creating standard and ad hoc reports as directed by senior staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.

Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance.

US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
