About the Firm:
Our client is actively seeking a mid-to-senior level IP paralegal with substantial experience in trademark and patent prosecution to join their headquarters. This prestigious AmLaw 200 firm provides legal services to individuals, startups, and publicly traded companies across various intellectual property matters, including trademark, copyright, and patent issues. Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience managing diverse patent and trademark portfolios. A paralegal certificate is highly preferred. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the patent and trademark team, engaging directly with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Prepare and file U.S. and international trademark applications, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Coordinate foreign trademark filings, oppositions, and cancellations, including evidence gathering and document legalization.
- Conduct trademark clearance searches and perform IP due diligence for patents.
- Manage U.S. and foreign patent portfolios, including preparing and filing patent applications and related documents.
- Monitor trademark conflicts and conduct investigations, providing clients with comprehensive reports.
- Oversee document legalization and maintain accurate client portfolio reports.

Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in intellectual property, trademark, patent, or copyright law within a large or mid-sized firm setting. Strong knowledge of domestic and international trademark issues, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment are essential for success in this role. Familiarity with USPTO, EUIPO, WIPO, and TTAB filing requirements is advantageous.
