The role of a Clinical Nurse Coordinator at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital involves ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. This includes assisting with admission and discharge processes, participating in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services, and collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Provide education and training to staff on new procedures and technologies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • RN license required; certifications in relevant areas (e.g. CCRN, CNL) preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an ED or ICU.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
