Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team at Peraton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a range of accounting functions, including financial analysis, general ledger management, and month-end closing support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform financial analysis and prepare financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, including balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  • Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Correspond with other departments to ensure proper accounting for revenue, purchases, and expenses.
  • Design, modify, install, and maintain accounting systems to ensure accurate and efficient financial transactions.
  • Responsible for adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 2 to 5 years of job-related experience.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience is required.
  • Excel proficiency is required.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • General Ledger experience is preferred.
  • Costpoint experience is preferred.
  • Government contracting industry experience is preferred.
