Primary Responsibilities:

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing food items for the final cooking stage. Key duties include:

  • Obtaining items from storage and thawing meats.
  • Opening food containers and cleaning food items.
  • Delivering prepared items to cooks.
  • Specializing in specific areas such as salad or bar preparation.

Client and Customer Relations:

Ensure the quality of food items and stock prepared items for cooking.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare food items using proper methods.
  • Ensure adequate quantities of food are ready for cooking.
  • Utilize First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures to manage food inventory.

Financial Responsibility:

Minimize waste wherever possible.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly in basic English.
  • Willingness to learn menu items and service procedures.
  • Capability to follow directions and work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Commitment to learning and adhering to established processes.
  • This role requires standing and walking for the entirety of the shift.
