Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer EIT to join our team at Stantec. As a Geotechnical Engineer EIT, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive geotechnical services to our clients, including field explorations, design, and construction management of complex geotechnical structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and coordinating geotechnical field investigations.
  • Perform field work related to geotechnical explorations and/or construction related activities.
  • Review boring logs and laboratory data.
  • Conduct basic calculations and perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
  • Assist in executing detailed analysis and evaluation of geotechnical hazards under the supervision of a project engineer.
  • Assist team in preparing designs, drawings, specifications, presentations, and reports.
  • Support our multi-discipline teams in providing services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information, and contract document clarifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
  • Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering discipline preferred.
  • Must have taken and successfully passed the FE exam and be an EIT.
  • Minimum of 0-5 years of experience.
  • Co-op/Internship experience preferred.
  • Travel/field work 15-25% of the time (based on current project work load).
