Position Overview:


SUMMARY: The Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for overseeing all facets of maintenance operations within the facility. This role includes leading and mentoring a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated. Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to implement and manage maintenance strategies and protocols while upholding a safe and orderly workplace. Supervise and execute preventative maintenance and repair tasks for machinery. Rapidly identify issues to minimize production interruptions. A strong understanding of SQF Quality Management standards and GMP practices is essential to ensure compliance among maintenance personnel.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience to: lead, manage, assess, and train a team of 15 maintenance staff; evaluate, monitor, and reduce equipment downtime; troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) issues and provide guidance in repairs; foster a 'Safety First' ethos among team members; and, establish and maintain an effective preventative maintenance strategy for machinery and the facility.


Educational Background: An Associate's degree or completion of a relevant college program; or 5+ years of pertinent experience and training; or a suitable combination of education and experience in a food production setting.


Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role with direct reports. Proven experience in guiding, assessing, and training maintenance personnel.


Communication Proficiency: Ability to articulate clearly, listen attentively, and comprehend ideas conveyed through spoken language. Competence in expressing concepts and ideas effectively in writing.


Technical Skills: Basic PLC knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level. Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.


Position-Specific Considerations: Availability for some weekend shifts may be required.
