Cherry Bekaert is seeking a highly skilled R&D Senior Associate to join our team. As a key member of our advisory services group, you will have the opportunity to work with clients across various industries, providing tax consulting services related to the Research and Development Tax Credit and capitalization and amortization rules under IRC Section 174.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax consulting services to clients, including technical interviews and project narrative development.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify qualifying research activities and draft project narratives.
- Work with team members to scope Research Tax Credit benefits, conduct Research Tax Credit studies, and interact with clients.
- Develop and maintain costing models to track business expenditures and calculate credits and capitalization amounts.
- Prior experience working with clients and IRC Section 174 research credit.
- Recent industry experience in software development, consulting, or engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, Accounting, or Finance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to conduct technical interviews and write project narratives.
