Endoscopy Nurse

United Digestive is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team. As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for each patient.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including preparation, procedure, and recovery.
- Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, medications, and test results.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies in endoscopy.
- Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience in GI endoscopy preferred.
- Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged.
- Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. ACLS certification is recommended, but optional.
The Endoscopy Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with moderate periods of sitting and computer use. Good visual acuity is required, as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The nurse must be able to stand and walk for extensive periods of time, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds.
