Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Automation Supervisor to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supervising automation engineers and executing assignments in support of engineering. This position has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating these assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering software/data management support and integration expertise to a broad range of computer-aided design and engineering software that support EPC work processes.
  • Understand primary Bechtel engineering tools (i.e., SmartPlant, ANSYS, Tekla, and Bentley) or similar Off-The-Shelf tools and have a complete understanding of how upstream and downstream users are impacted by engineering data.
  • Schedule and monitor work activities and budgets.
  • Understand Engineering, Procurement, and Construction data integration.
  • Lead others in software activities across software applications and in support of software and database upgrades.
  • Develop documents related to data management, data integration, data quality, automation planning, etc.
  • Use excellent oral and written communication skills, collaborate with GBU and Project functional representatives, and customers to elicit requirements to support implementation activities.
  • Effectively influence actions and opinions of others.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with product vendors to relay requirements, as needed.
  • Ensure automation-related procedures and work processes are maintained and followed.
Requirements
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
  • Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
