About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Highway Engineer to lead transportation engineering projects from design to implementation. You will work closely with our team to develop horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, signing and pavement markings, safety assessments, erosion and sediment control, and maintenance and protection of traffic schemes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement transportation engineering projects including roadways, trails, and pedestrian facilities.
  • Develop construction documents, reports, and presentations to communicate project details effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Conduct site inspections and field reconnaissance to gather data and inform project decisions.
  • Attend meetings and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with concentration in Transportation) from an ABET Accredited College.
  • 5-10 years of experience in transportation engineering.
  • EIT Certificate or ability to obtain within 12 months; PE License preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling software a plus.
  • Familiarity with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission projects a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we also provide opportunities for professional growth and development through our Leadership Development Program and Tuition Reimbursement.
