Job Summary

As a mathematics educator and program developer, your primary responsibilities will include teaching graduate-level credentialing courses online, onsite, or in a hybrid delivery format. Key duties include advising and mentoring candidates of diverse cultures and backgrounds, participating in curriculum and instructional development, and attending regular meetings and symposia.

Responsibilities
  • Advise and Mentor Candidates: Provide guidance and support to candidates from diverse backgrounds, promoting their academic and professional growth.
  • Curriculum and Instructional Development: Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum and instructional strategies that meet the needs of our students.
  • Meetings and Symposia: Attend regular meetings and symposia to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
  • Schedule Development: Assist in creating schedules for courses and cohort programs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Community Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with faculty and staff, promoting a supportive learning environment.
  • Professional Development: Educate and engage faculty, candidates, and interns through presentations, workshops, and trainings.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data and create reports on accreditation requirements, ensuring compliance with local, state, regional, and federal policies.
  • Program Compliance: Ensure program and candidate compliance with state licensure requirements.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Maintain accurate systems to track program data and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Collaboration and Review: Work with colleagues to create and maintain ongoing program review, aligning with shifting accreditation standards.
  • Policies and Procedures: Collaborate with supervisors to maintain Teacher Preparation Program policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Earned master's degree from a regionally accredited university in Teacher Education or a Subject Matter Discipline.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience teaching within the TK-12 educational system, utilizing research-based strategies in critical pedagogy and culturally sustaining pedagogy.
  • Alternative Assessment: Experience utilizing alternative forms of assessment with K-12 grade levels and ability to guide district interns in standards-based assessments.
  • Higher Education Experience: Experience teaching at the higher education level or with a credentialing program, demonstrating ability to support candidates and provide resources for English Learners and Students with Special Needs.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree: Earned doctorate/terminal degree from a regionally accredited university in Teacher Education or a Subject Matter Discipline.
  • Exemplary Record: Exemplary record of teaching, including effective teaching in higher education settings and working with adult learners.
  • Established Research: Established or emerging line of applied research, including presentations at state and national conferences.
  • Collaboration and Community Partnerships: Record of collaboration with school districts and community partners, experience designing and delivering online courses, and experience in program assessment.
Compensation

$56.65 per hour
