Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Assistant to join our team at Twin Rivers Unified School District. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will provide individualized behavior intervention and medical support to students in a classroom setting, enhancing their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchrooms, and play fields.
  • Provide individualized behavior intervention and medical support to students.
  • Assist individuals or small groups of students to enhance their learning.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • May require a valid driver's license and First Aid/CPR certification.

Benefits:

  • Medical, dental, vision, and employee life insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day.
  • Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day.
