Job Summary

The Production Supervisor, Plating Department, 1st Shift is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Plating department, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise hourly workforce in the Plating department, focusing on productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Schedule production lines, optimize workflow, and implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory control, cycle counts, and performance measurements.
  • Develop and implement training programs for direct reports, covering production, material handling, equipment operation, safety, and hazardous materials.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures for sorting and disposing of non-conforming materials.
  • Maintain the production area in good housekeeping order, adhering to OSHA guidelines.
  • Oversee the maintenance of chemical process tanks to achieve high-quality results.
  • Supervise the finishing process, including electroplating, antique finishes, and coating processes.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience in electro and oxide plating.
  • 1-2 years of experience in coating processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct production workflow in the finishing process.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Mathematical proficiency and ability to execute equations.
  • Proven experience in the finishing process (antique finishes, electroplating, coating).
  • Exposure to interacting with state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic MS Excel (sorting and filtering data).
  • Language skills: English (reading, writing, verbal) and bilingual preferred (English and Spanish).
Work Environment

The Production Supervisor will work in an office environment or enclosed office space and will be exposed to a warehouse environment on a frequent basis. The ambient conditions are moderate, and the noise level in the work environment is moderate.
